Building a Literate Society Through This Generation
An education non-profit helping students and teachers in Liberia
Founded in 2018, the Care Mission School aims to provide quality education for students from all backgrounds. We are a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization that supports this goal by funding meals, salary support, scholarships, and special programs.
Meet Our School
Each year, Care Mission School welcomes over 100 students and employs over 15 teachers and staff in Ganta, Liberia. Founded by Liberians, the school relies on support from the US to keep tuition affordable without sacrificing quality.

Funding from the US Provides
Teacher Support
When asked what they value most about our school, parent’s first response is often the teaching. “Care Mission teachers can really teach” was a common refrain. Administrators work hard to find and keep good teachers on staff. Teachers are given benefits such as reduced tuition for their own children, free workshops and training, and in some cases the opportunity to pursue higher education while working at the school.

Nutritious Meals
Feeding each student every day is a critical element of ensuring a productive learning environment. We provide a hot meal each day to students and staff.

Student Scholarships
Care Mission Mercy Scholarships cover registration and tuition for about 15 students each year. Many of our supported students are children of single mothers and orphans who could not otherwise afford to send their children to school.

Special Programs
- Constructing one of the only playgrounds in town.
- Connecting the school to the electric grid, construction of a computer lab, and purchase of laptops, desktops and projectors.
- Funding tuition for our staff seeking to earn higher degrees.
